Diane is a single mom of 2 boys: one six years old, and one is two. She is currently in school with just 2 more classes to complete this semester. Diane is determined to complete her AA so she can transfer to San Jose State.
Diane grew up in foster care; and has spent seasons of her life homeless, without a roof over her head. She is a fighter. Now her fight is to provide her boys with a safe home. She uses financial assistance to help her pay for her education and to help with childcare. Diane prioritizes her mental health, she has fought to give her boys a home full of love and support. Diane is an encouragement to all she meets.
MFM helped repair Diane’s car eight months ago; and recently after taking her car in for a routine oil change, she received bad news that her car needed an additional repair. The bad news was that it would cost more than her car was worth. She contacted Maintenance for Moms to let us know what was happening. We weren’t sure how much we would be able to help since the cost for the repair was more than the car was worth. We as a staff prayed for discernment and wisdom to find a way to help.
A family heard about Diane’s situation and they were moved to donate $16,000 to purchase a new car for her! God’s fingerprints are all over this story, and we love getting to give Him the glory. Diane was called and told her burden would be lifted, reliable transportation was coming; it was one of the best calls we’ve ever made. She was speechless and blown away.
